Despite a semi-successful ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 campaign, India were knocked out of the prestigious cricket tournament as they lost to New Zealand in the first semi-final. While the Indian team gracefully accepted the defeat, the reports based on a rumour of squabble between skipper Virat Kohli and vice-captain Rohit Sharma began doing rounds.
After which, skipper Kohli shot down the reports of issues within the team during a press conference ahead of India's tour of West Indies on Monday. The skipper had slammed the reports and called them out for bringing their personal lives into the picture.

For the time being, it seemed that the atmosphere in the Indian dressing room was fine with no issues among the players. However, Rohit Sharma's recent tweet has once again sparked a possibility about the players not being on good terms.

Commenting on the current scenario of Indian cricket, veteran Indian cricketer Sunil Gavaskar had slammed the selectors. The former Mumbai cricketer said that the MSK Prasad-led selection committee has made him furious and he reckoned its lack of stature brought down its ability to take decisions, resulting in the hindrance of its progress.
Meanwhile, India's full tour against the West Indies starts from August 3 and includes 3 T20Is, 3 ODIs, and 2 Test matches. Kohli will lead the Indian side in all formats of the series. Along with this, Shikhar Dhawan will be making his comeback after his abrupt Cricket World Cup 2019 exit.
