In a horrifying incident reported in the financial capital city, Mumbai, a teen worker tragically lost his life after getting stuck in a grinder on Saturday, December 14.
The victim has been identified as Suraj Narayan Yadav (19). He was a resident of Jharkhand and had recently started working at a roadside Chinese food stall in Adarsh Nagar, Worli. Yadav had been working there for 3-4 months.
The incident, which was captured on CCTV, took place when Yadav was running a grinder machine to prepare raw material for Manchurian and Chinese Bhel.
The 23 seconds-footage shows the young man placing some items into the grinder when his shirt gets stuck in the grinder machine, which was his waist height.

Within the seconds of his hand getting stuck, the grinder pulls his body toward itself and swallowed him.
As per reports, he had no prior experience or technical knowledge to operate the equipment. Kothekar gave him the task allegedly without providing proper safety measures and training.
A case has been registered against the 32-year-old Sachin Kothekar, who is the owner of the stall, at the Dadar Police Station and an investigation is underway.
