The killers searched the house and office of former minister Baba Siddique for a month, during which it was seen that Siddique always parked his car at some distance from the office. So the killers decided to kill Siddique near the office. Sources said that the investigation has revealed that so far a transaction of INR 5 lakh has been made in this matter.
Attackers Dharmaraj Kashyap Shivakumar alias Shiva Gautam and Gurmel Singh lived in Patel Chawl in Kurla. The conspiracy to kill Siddique was hatched in a meeting with Praveen Lonkar, Shubham Lonkar and Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar in Pune. After that, the assailants would regularly visit Siddique's house and office in the Bandra area on a two-wheeler. On the day of the attack i.e. October 12, the attackers had reached Bandra East an hour earlier. Apart from this, the two-wheeler used for inspection was purchased by the accused for 32 thousand rupees from Pune. In this entire case, it has been found that five lakhs of rupees have been transacted so far. Sources said that all the amount was received by the accused in cash. The crime branch is investigating the matter.
In this case, the police found a black bag near the incident site. It contained a pistol, an Aadhaar card and a shirt. Shubham Lonkar, the main accused in this case, ran away from the house before the attack. Also Mohammad Zeeshan Akhtar was not in Mumbai on the day of the attack. But he was in touch with the accused through mobile phone, the accused have informed in the investigation.
Meanwhile, the interrogation of the arrested accused is revealing a lot of shocking information. Two pistols, three magazines, 28 cartridges, five mobiles, two Aadhaar cards were seized from the arrested accused.

Among the shooters, Dharmaraj Kashyap and Gurmel Singh were arrested from the spot. Praveen Lonkar, who helped him, was arrested by the Crime Branch from Pune. In this case, the shooter Shiv Kumar alias Shiva Gautam along with Mohammad Zishan Akhtar who helped the accused and Shubham Lonkar involved in the conspiracy are being searched for and the police have issued a look out circular to arrest them.
