A very shocking incident in Mumbai local train came to light. It has been revealed that a passenger tried to burn another passenger alive in a handicap compartment. The incident took place in Mumbra railway station area. The incident is understood to have happened on Saturday night around 11:30 pm. According to the information received, the name of this physically challenged passenger is Pramod Wadekar (age 35).

Pramod Wadekar was traveling from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Kalyan local in a handicap passenger coach. As soon as this local entered the Mumbra station, an argument started between Pramod and a drug addict. As the argument escalated in no time, the drug addict set the handkerchief on fire and threw the handkerchief on Pramod's body. Pramod was seriously injured in this incident.


According to media reports, when he was taken to Chhatrapati Shivaji Hospital Kalwa, he was told that there was no facility for treatment, after which he was admitted to KEM Hospital. The shocking thing is that the incident happened at around 11.30 pm and Pramod had to wait for almost 12 hours until he got a bed for treatment.


Meanwhile, according to Thane GRP and hospital officials, currently the injured passenger Pramod is undergoing treatment, while on the other hand, a case has been registered against the accused who fled from the spot under Section 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt with dangerous weapons or instruments) of the Indian Penal Code.
