One of the two 600 mm diameter water mains supplying water to the Pali Reservoir at Lucky Junction on Swami Vivekananda Road in Bandra West area suddenly started leaking around 2 midnight on Monday. The work to prevent water leakage has been taken up on a war footing. However, the water supply in Bandra (W.) and surrounding areas of the Municipal Corporation's H West Division Office has been affected.
Pali Reservoir is supplied with water from two major channels. Among them, a main water channel of 600 mm diameter started leaking on Monday midnight. On hearing the news of the leak, the officials and employees of the municipal water department immediately rushed to the spot and took up the work of repairing the water channel.

Water supply in H West Division (Bandra West and surrounding areas) has been affected due to leakage from the aqueduct. Water supply in some areas will be closed and water supply will be restored after completion of repair work. However, some areas are being supplied with low pressure water through Veravali Reservoir and the rest through Pali Inlet.
On behalf of the municipal administration, it has been appealed to the citizens to use water sparingly.
