Within a few years of the Atal Setu being put into use, there were a number of suicides by jumping into the sea. Now, a 30-year-old youth has committed suicide by jumping into the sea after parking his motorbike on the Coastal Road-Sealink connector in Worli. The body of a youth was found in the coastal road area on Wednesday and the Worli police have registered a case of accidental death in this case. The deceased youth was a resident of Malad. The exact reason for his suicide is not yet clear. The Worli police are investigating the matter further.
A motor vehicle was parked near pole number 80 of the connector connecting Coastal Road to the Bandra-Worli Sea Bridge around 8 pm on Tuesday. After receiving information about it, the police checked with the help of CCTV and noticed that a person had jumped from there. They searched everywhere with the help of a boat, but as it was night, nothing was found. Finally, when the police got information from the motorcycle's license plate number, they found out that Darshit Rajubhai Seth (30) had gone there in a motorcycle.
Finally, Police Inspector Shinde and Worli Mobile Van No. 1 inspected the spot. On Wednesday, information was received that a body was floating in the water at Sealink Landing Point. Accordingly, the police sent Mobile 1 vehicle to the spot. At that time, a body was floating in the water. The police immediately called the fire brigade and ambulance to the scene. The fire brigade then pulled out the body with the help of a vehicle. When the body was taken to Nair Hospital in Mumbai Central, the doctors there declared the youth dead. Following this incident, the Worli police registered a case of unnatural death in the matter. The family of the deceased was then informed. No note written by the youth before jumping into the sea has been found yet. The police are investigating further.

He has a married sister who also lives in the Malad area. After leaving work on Tuesday, he came to Worli from BKC via the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. He stopped the motorbike at the connector where the Sealink connects to the Coastal Road, stood for a while, and then jumped straight into the sea.
