MNS workers handed over the accused to the police but at the same time, a case was registered against MNS’ Palghar-Thane district President Avinash Patil along with 10 other party workers for taking the law in their hands.
Almost 40 eunuchs have been indulging in prostitution on the streets of Majhiwada area for years now and they rob the ongoing vehicles and trucks. Commoners living in Lodha and Rustamji complex in the area have also been robbed by them. Regarding the same, MNS has filed multiple complaints with Kampurawadi police station but police remained silent, Patil said.
Earlier on Saturday night, the eunuchs tried to rob a 24-old young woman in the area. After this, MNS workers aggressively took the law into their hands and tried to catch the gang on Sunday. However, only one eunuch was caught and was later handed over to the police.
A video of the whole issue went viral on the social media and MNS workers including Patil were criticised for their actions.
