A speeding car hit a young man walking on the footpath in the Mulund area early Tuesday morning after the driver lost control. The young man was seriously injured in this accident and the Mulund police took action against the motorist and rescued him.
The accident took place around 3 am on Tuesday in Paach Rasta area of Mulund. Piyush Ramchandani (28), a resident of Mulund area, had come there to celebrate a friend's birthday. After celebrating his birthday, he and two others were walking down the sidewalk to their car. At the same time, the driver of the speeding car lost control and hit Piyush who was walking on the footpath.
Piyush was seriously injured in this accident. His friends admitted him to a private hospital. Piyush is undergoing treatment in the hospital. Mulund police registered a case and detained the accused auto driver Deep Thakkar (27). He was then released on notice.
