A case has been registered against three people in connection with the murder of a 50-year-old businessman in Sewri. The name of the dead person is Hasambhai Kanya and the police are searching for three people in this case.


The incident took place near a garage near Brick Bandar in Sewri. Complainant Usman Ahmed alias Shakeel Shaikh resides in Behrampada area of Bandra. He owns a garage in the Brick Bandar area of Sewri. Next to his own garage, Hasambhai Kanya has a scrap business. They have known each other for the past nine years. They were good friends.

At one o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, Sheikh Usman was working in his garage. At this time three young men came there and attacked Hasambhai with a knife due to an old dispute. At this time, when Sheikh Usman asked the three to answer, he threatened to kill them. After the attack, all three of them fled towards Lakshmi petrol pump and CRPA on a two-wheeler. Hasanbhai, who was injured in the attack, along with Sheikh Usman, were immediately admitted to Masina Hospital in Byculla. Doctors declared him dead there.
