An incident of death of a municipal employee during election duty has come to light. This employee was on duty in Andheri East Assembly constituency. His health started deteriorating after entering the polling booth. He was admitted to the hospital for treatment and was declared dead. 


Anil Satpute, an employee of the solid waste management department of H West Division of Santacruz, Bandra, was given the responsibility of Andheri East Assembly constituency for the election. He was called to the polling booth at Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan School in Andheri East a day before the polling.

While at the polling station, he started feeling uneasy. At that time, he was admitted to the trauma care centre in Jogeshwari. But he died during treatment. The medical report on the exact cause of his death is yet to come.
