In a major breakthrough, Mumbai police on Friday, January 17, arrested a suspect involved in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing case within 30 hours of the attack. The individual is currently being held at Bandra Police Station for further investigation.

This development came after the first video of the attacker was emerged later on the same day.

The suspect can be seen staring right into a CCTV camera while coming down the staircase after committing the crime. He was armed with a wooden stick and a long Hexa blade, fleeing after the attack.

For the unversed, Khan was stabbed by an intruder at his high rise apartment in upscale Bandra in Mumbai on Thursday, January 16, around 2:30 am. As per initial investigation, the attack on Saif Ali Khan took place during a "burglary attempt" in the apartment housed in 'Satguru Sharan' building.

The 54-year-old actor was "out of danger" following an emergency surgery, said the doctors at the Lilavati Hospital where he was rushed after the attack.

As per reports, Saif Ali Khan's domestic help first raised an alarm as the intruder gained entry into the apartment. She also sustained a minor injury to her hand during the scuffle.
