Dawood Ibrahim's brother Iqbal Kaskar made a shocking revelation on the basis of which Thane's Anti-Extortion Cell registered criminal cases against six businessmen, among them, are Riyaz Bhati, Kamal Jadhwani and Afgan Khan.

What is the story?

In 2012, Ambernath resident Surajit Rayon had taken over the redevelopment of Andheri Stadium View Society from MHADA and made Kamal Jadwani a partner. However, Jadwani made Bhati and Afghan Khan as partners and they all started pressuring Rayon to leave the project forcing him to speak to Shakeel over the phone many times. Bhati and Khan allegedly usurped the 4,500-sqft project which was worth ₹50 crore and was in Rayon's name.

A lookout notice was issued against Bhati when intelligence agencies tipped off the police about his arrival in Mumbai and likewise he was arrested in October 2015 from the Sahar airport with two passports.

Who is Bhati?

He is a builder who used to operate Indian Sports Academy and has many serious offences registered against him.
