Popular OTT platform, Ullu, has captured the market in a short period. Over the last few years, the team at Ullu have created a niche, loyal audience base and have been catering to their 'entertainment' needs on a regular basis. Following the trend, the platform is set to launch a new web series titled 'Bhasudi' which stars Rahul Abhua, Sunder Lal Chhabra, Sajid Siddiqui, Shanu Shafiq, Kartikey and Sarthak in lead roles.
“Bhasudi” captures the dark side of crime and corruption, and is set in a small town in heartland India. The show narrates the eccentric tale of four young, reckless and ambitious boys driven by desires, stuck in the turmoil of a dream that unites them and turns their lives upside down.
Talking about the series’ concept, Ullu Founder & CEO Vibhu Agarwal stated, “With this series, Ullu promises to bring fictionalised tales from the real dark underbelly of the crime space in heartland India to viewer’s screens. It was also a conscious effort to focus on the quality of content that we are bringing to our audience and not just adhere to any pre-set notions about Ullu.”
The show is based on true-crime incidents, the series required a great deal of research and detailing to bring to life the various characters and their motives.
The series is directed by Rahul Abhua who also plays the lead role in this high octane crime drama. The series will commence stream on the platform from October 9, 2020.
