As the placement season ends, IIM Mumbai has achieved a 100% placement record for the 2025 batch. Microsoft has offered the highest salary package of INR 54 lakh per annum to two students. A total of 480 students secured jobs this year. Among them, 377 were male and 103 were female.
The number of participating companies increased to 198, a 10% rise from the previous year’s 180 recruiters. Several companies hired in bulk this year. Accenture recruited 41 students with a package of INR 45.37 LPA. PwC India hired 18 students, while PwC US Advisory recruited 10.
The packages have seen an increase this year:
- Overall salary packages saw a 5% rise compared to last year.
- The top 10% of students received an average salary of INR 47.5 LPA, up from INR 47.29 LPA.
- The top 20% secured INR 41.2 LPA, compared to INR 40.71 LPA last year.
- The top 50% received INR 34.1 LPA, increasing from INR 33.84 LPA in 2024.
Some sectors recorded a sharp rise in placements:
- The pharmaceutical and healthcare industry saw a 130% increase, with 80 students placed.
- Retail and e-commerce hiring grew by 47.73%, driven by online shopping and digital-first business models.
- Consulting firms increased hiring by 28.92%.
As per a report by HT, Professor Manoj Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, stated that the institute’s transition from NITIE to IIM Mumbai has helped improve placement results. The overall rise in salaries and recruiter participation shows growing industry demand for IIM Mumbai graduates.
