As the Vidhan Sabha Elections have been scheduled at October 21 and 22, the Mumbai University exams happening on these two days will be rescheduled. There were over 68 exams that were planned on these dates. As the teachers will be on polling duty and the campus is used as a polling booth, the exams will be rescheduled.

Major exams like Third Year Bachelors of Arts (TYBA), Third Year Bachelors of Commerce (TYBCOM) and Third Year Bachelors of Science (TYBSc) have also been rescheduled.
Recently, the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) is all set to revamp the University campus at Kalina with major redevelopment in prominent buildings like Ranade Bhavan, Lokmanya Tilak Bhavan and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Bhavan.
