In a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between St. Xavier's College (Fort) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a masters programme in Big Data Analytics will be introduced in the college. It will be a Masters of Science (MSc) in Big Data Analytics course which will be designed by TCS to meet the current industry demands in technology.
The course will commence from July and Padma Shri awardee Dr. Bimal Roy, former Director of Indian Statistical Institute has developed the curriculum. The course work comprises of subjects like Statistical Methods, Probability and Stochastic Process, Linear Algebra and Linear Programming, Computing for Data Sciences, Machine Learning and Database Management.

It's a full-time Masters degree programme consisting of four semesters over two years. The fees for the course is ₹90,000 per year and there will be an intake of only 30 students for the curriculum year of 2019-2020.
