The third special admission list for Class XI admission in the Mumbai metropolitan area under the academic year 2024-25 was released on Thursday, August 22. Under this list, 17,488 students had applied for 1 lakh 18 thousand 939 seats in various colleges. Out of them 13 thousand 145 students were given college, while 4,343 students who applied in the third special round are waiting to get the college. Also 8,684 students have been given their first choice college, 1,752 students second choice college and 929 students their third choice college.
Some colleges have not released the third special admission list for the respective branches as the admission to all the seats has been declared. Due to this, some students missed the opportunity to get admission in reputed and preferred colleges. Also, compared to the second special round, the admission eligibility marks (cut off) for the commerce branch under the third special admission list is stable and has slightly decreased by 1 to 2 percent. Also, there has been a decrease of 3 to 4 percent in the admission eligibility marks of some colleges for Arts and Science, while the admission eligibility marks of some colleges have increased by 1 to 2 percent. As compared to the first three regular rounds of admission, the admission eligibility marks of all the three special rounds are seeing extreme ups and downs.
Admission can be secured till 6 pm on Friday
As per the third special admission round, the Central admission process, Institutional, Minority, Under Management Quota and the students who got the college for dual course can confirm their admission till 6 pm on Friday, August 23. If students want to confirm their admission in the colleges they have received, they should click on the 'Upload Required Documents' option in their own login and upload the documents and click on the 'Proceed for Admission' option to go to the respective college and confirm their admission.
