Prabhadevi-Senior singer and violin player Uttam Singh has been honoured with the Lata Mangeshkar 2016 award. The award ceremony was organised on 30 November at Prabhadevi’s Ravindra Natya Mandir. Along with the award, he was honoured with a 5 lakh rupees cash prize and a citation.
The event also included a concert featuring old and new songs. Cultural minister Vinod Tawde, senior singer Pyarelal Sharma, Padmabhushan Khayyam, mayor Snehal Ambekar, Varsha Nair and other dignitaries were present.
