Nana Patekar has finally replied to the notice which was issued by Cine and TV Artist Association (CINTAA) to him in the sexual misconduct case of Tanushree Dutta.

Nana’s lawyer, Rajan Shirodkar confirmed to media that they have replied the notice. “We have a clear stand, which we have been maintaining since the beginning. We have spoken about it to the media too”, quoted the lawyer.

According to reports, Nana’s another lawyer Aniket Nikam had replied to the CINTAA’s notice. The statement read, “ My client (Patekar) denies in toto (completely) the baseless and unsubstantiated allegations, insinuation levelled by Dutta. Nana has been subjected to mental harassment due to the "motivated and malicious" vilification campaign. Neither he (Nana) outraged much less misbehaved with Dutta during the shooting of the said song nor did he interfere with anyone during the shooting. The false allegations have immensely affected his reputation beyond repair and your organisation (CINTAA) should not entertain such groundless accusations particularly when such allegations are levelled after almost a decade.”

While giving an interview to Zoom Tv, Tanushree Dutta had accused Nana of sexually harassing her on the sets of 2008 film Horn Ok Pleassss. In 2008, she had complained to CINTAA but they had not taken any action. When the actress recapped the whole incident last month, CINTAA had refused to reopen the case, saying that it was a decade-old complaint. However, looking at the increasing pressure from media and public, CINTAA decided to look into the matter and issued a show-cause notice to Nana Patekar.
