On Friday, Netflix India released the teaser of its new original web series Bard of Blood, produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. The web show will see talented actor Emraan Hashmi in the lead role.
In the teaser, Emraan Hashmi grabs a copy of Bilal Siddiqi’s novel and proceeds to read it, “God has given you one face, and you make yourself another”, says the actor.
Emraan took to Twitter and wrote, “The King hath spoken... getting into my character already. Thank you for making me a part of this journey, @iamsrk. We’ll make something special !!”

‘Bard of Blood’ is an eight episodes thriller series with high octane political drama. “We have always tried to create world-class content and entertainment from India. Netflix has shown that Indian stories have a global audience and we would love to use this platform and its reach to tell more stories”, said SRK in a statement.
Reed Hastings, Netflix Founder and CEO mentioned, “We are thrilled to work with a brilliant, young writer like Bilal Siddiqi and take his gripping, inventive storytelling to Netflix members worldwide”.
The multilingual web series will depict the story of an expelled spy, Kabir Anand, who is recalled from his new life as a Shakespeare professor in Panchgani to save his country and lost love.
