Central Railway (CR) marked a significant milestone in healthcare with the inauguration of several state-of-the-art facilities at the Zonal Hospital, Byculla o­n the occasion of the 78th Independence Day. 

The General Manager, Central Railway Ram Karan Yadav accompanied by the President, Central Railway Women's Welfare Organisation (CRWWO) Smt Chitra Yadav inaugurated the newly established Emergency Department (Casualty) o­n the ground floor of the New G+6 Super Specialty Building.

This cutting-edge emergency unit is fully compliant with NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers) guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of patient care.

A newly renovated and relocated fully air-conditioned Female Medical Ward, equipped with six high-end ventilators was also inaugurated.

Ram Karan Yadav commended the exemplary work being done at the Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Byculla particularly in advancing medical facilities for the benefit of railway employees and their families. He expressed his hope that the construction of the New G+6 building would be completed by the end of this year and lauded the various departments involved in this ambitious project.

The event was graced by Principal Chief Medical Director (PCMD), Dr. Shobha Jagannath and other PHODs, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mumbai Division, Rajnish Goyal, CRWWO members, Medical Director, Zonal Hospital Dr Sushma Matey and other senior officials.
