Panvel: Patients undergoing chemotherapy at 'this' hospital will get help from the CM Fund

Chemotherapy for cancer can be done at Medicover Hospital in Kharghar and can now go home on the same day. The ward was inaugurated on Friday afternoon in the presence of Mangesh Chivte, Head of the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Fund Cell. On this occasion, Chivte said that all the patients undergoing chemotherapy in this hospital will be given financial assistance of INR 50k through Chief Minister's Aid Fund. Chivte also announced that financial assistance of INR 1 lakh will be provided to patients undergoing cancer surgery and INR 2 lakh will be provided through the Chief Minister's Aid Fund for complex surgeries like organ transplants.

Medicover Hospital in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai has started a Chemo Day Care Ward to provide safe and quality facilities to patients fighting cancer as well as those undergoing chemotherapy In this new facility where 15 patients can undergo chemotherapy treatment simultaneously with the help of advanced equipment under the supervision of expert doctors. Dr. Mataprasad Gupta, head of the hospital, said that the hospital not only treats the disease but also tries to reduce the suffering and inconvenience of the patients in this challenging time.

Cancer patients are most debilitated as the journey back home after chemotherapy is painful. For this, Medicover has launched an innovative initiative of Chemo Day Care Ward to enable patients to return home on the same day after chemotherapy. Mangesh Chivte, Head of Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Fund, expressed the belief that high quality and successful cancer treatment will be provided in this hospital.
