Chemotherapy for cancer can be done at Medicover Hospital in Kharghar and can now go home on the same day. The ward was inaugurated on Friday afternoon in the presence of Mangesh Chivte, Head of the Chief Minister's Medical Assistance Fund Cell. On this occasion, Chivte said that all the patients undergoing chemotherapy in this hospital will be given financial assistance of INR 50k through Chief Minister's Aid Fund. Chivte also announced that financial assistance of INR 1 lakh will be provided to patients undergoing cancer surgery and INR 2 lakh will be provided through the Chief Minister's Aid Fund for complex surgeries like organ transplants.
