Taking special precautions to fight the epidemic in Thane district, the health administration has set up a special ward for Zika patients in Thane district hospital. A 30 bedded modern ward with medicine stock, emergency para medical team is kept ready.
While everyone is experiencing a mixed cold in Thane district, due to the changing climate, there is an increase in cold and cough patients. Similarly, concern is being expressed as the Zika virus is increasing in many places in the state. The government is taking precautions to prevent the spread of the epidemic, better facilities for the treatment of Zika virus patients have been provided in civil hospitals.
As the Zika virus is said to be spreading in Mumbai, immediate treatment is required if there is a Zika outbreak in Thane district. Due to this, all the medical supplies required for treatment have been kept ready in the room with 30 beds.
