The dispute between the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) over who is responsible for the repair of the Jog flyover in Andheri East is still unresolved. However, the BMC is considering whether to do this repair separately or not. The public works department of the state government, which owns the bridge, is being requested to intervene, as per the report by Hindustan Times.

The BMC has already floated tenders worth INR 95 crore for the repair of the flyover, but Bhushan Gagrani is yet to take a final decision.

Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute has submitted its audit report for April 2024. In which the flyover was in a critical condition amid a multi-agency dispute. It was recommended to repair it within a month. But in July, when a large slab of a part of the flyover fell on a train, the administration realised the seriousness of the situation.

VJTI has also listed nine other bridges in the city. Those in need of major repairs. These include Kalanagar Flyover in Bandra East, Bhagwan Swami Narayan Flyover in Chunabhatti, Annabhau Sathe Flyover in Chembur, Amar Mahalakshmi Flyover in Chembur, Andheri Ghatkopar Link Road Flyover and Navghar Flyover in Mulund.
