The state government has announced that a semiconductor project worth 83 thousand crore rupees will come up in Panvel. Also, since Taloja Industrial Estate will also get the status of Smart City, the businessmen here have expressed their satisfaction with the functioning of the Chief Minister and Industries Minister. For the past many years, the developers here have been continuously demanding to provide facilities. Taloja is one of the most advanced industrial estates in the state. Taloja Industries Association (TIA) has repeatedly approached the government for facilities in this area, it has been informed on behalf of the association.

The Smart Industrial Estate will see the establishment of an integrated command and control room to operate and manage the Taloja Sub-Divisional Office, Smart Services Operation MIDC Head Office and Control Command Center at Taloja Industrial Area. Also, the industry department is going to set up a network of CCTV cameras for the industrial sector.


Along with CCTV cameras, an air pollution control system will be set up here. The industries department will implement smart components like smart street lights, digital hoardings, emergency call box under calamity system and smart poles with public address system.

Smart water will be measured through collective data collection in the updated system. Common Chemical Effluent Treatment Plant (CETP) Phase 1 & 2 as well as within the pumping station a flow quality management system and a flow measurement measuring system will be installed at the inlet and outlet channels of the process. 

In this project, a survey will be conducted on the actual and sanctioned water use in Taloja Industrial Area. In a similar manner, the energy department used by the entrepreneurs will be surveyed. Officials of TIA informed that the measurement will be done with a 3D base based on a geographic information system drone camera.
