After listening to the experiences of various stakeholders, practitioners in the education sector, the questions raised by them are not alarming but horrible. NCP President Sharad Pawar expressed the opinion that all the elements should prepare a plan and present it before the government to change it.
According to the Educational Performance Grade Index (PGI) recently released by the Union Education Department, the educational performance of the state seems to have deteriorated. In this regard, a meeting was held on behalf of the education department of Yashwantrao Chavan Center with scholars, representatives of NGOs, representatives of various entities in the education sector. Pawar interacted with the attendees there. MP Supriya Sule was present on this occasion.
Educational status is viewed at a numerical level. But it is necessary to present the accounting of the educational status at a qualitative level. Educational decisions should be taken in accordance with laws. Undue interference of NGOs should be avoided. Experts in the field of education raised the issue that full-time teachers should be recruited immediately. Sule said Yashwantrao Chavan Foundation will act as a catalyst to bring about change. Education experts Vasant Kalpande, Kishore Darak, Girish Samant, Farida Lambe, Hemangi Joshi, Chandrakant Dalvi of Rayat Shikshan Sanstha, representatives of teachers, principals associations etc. participated in this meeting.
