While taking a dig at Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Amruta Fadnavis said,

Having a bad leader is not Maharashtra's fault, but staying with one is! Jaago Maharashtra

The series of tweets followed after Uddhav Thackeray's government announced that the salary accounts of police personnel which were in Axis Bank will be shifted to a nationalised bank. Notably, Amruta Fadnavis is the Corporate Head (Western India) and Vice President at Axis Bank. However, Devendra Fadnavis has claimed that Axis Bank was taken into consideration in March 2005 i.e. eight months before he married Amruta Fadnavis.

She further said that the accounts were bagged by Axis bank much before she married Devendra and during the tenure of the Congress-NCP regime. Private banks are also Indian banks and provide superior technological services. The government should think rationally. By shifting the accounts, the government are trying to target Devendra and her.

Moreover, Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi took a dig at Amruta Fadnavis' statement and said,

Surprised that she is calling it vendetta because if it were, she agrees that the former CM favoured moving accounts to Axis Bank as she was employed there. If the decision to move accounts was business as usual with zilch involvement of her and former CM then where is the question of targeting?
