At a rally in Goregaon on Sunday, MNS President Raj Thackeray announced that the party will contest the upcoming assembly elections independently, without forming alliances. Thackeray criticized the state government's recent announcement of distributing free money, stating that such schemes are ill-timed when no one is asking for funds for elections and when the government may struggle to pay its employees by January or February.
Thackeray further argued that, instead of distributing money, the focus should be on providing employment opportunities for women and others. He criticized schemes like the 'Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladli Behan Yojana,' calling for practical solutions to Maharashtra’s challenges. Thackeray confidently stated that MNS will come to power after the elections and will work to develop Maharashtra according to the people’s expectations.
