Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis expressed his belief on Monday, February 24 that the state government is accelerating the administration and economy through technology and artificial intelligence (AI), and the state will soon lead the country's 'artificial intelligence' and 'technology revolution'. 


Fadnavis was interviewed by Nasscom's Srikanth Velamkanni at the Nasscom Technology and Leadership Summit. Digital services have increased in the state and most of the government services have become available online. The state government has established an 'AI' center in Mumbai University. The Udyog Center has been established in partnership with the World Economic Forum. The government has set a target to take the economy of the state to one lakh crore dollars. For this, a financial action plan is being prepared in collaboration with NITI Aayog. Fadnavis mentioned that efforts are being made to make MMRDA the centerpiece of the one and a half lakh crore economy in particular.


3rd Mumbai in Navi Mumbai Airport area

Stating that the third Mumbai will be developed in the vicinity of Navi Mumbai International Airport, Fadnavis said that this innovative city will become one of the most advanced cities in the country. The city will be developed on three hundred acres and will focus on technology, innovative research, and artificial intelligence. Also GCC Park will be developed in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nashik. For this, Fadnavis appealed to experts in the field of industry and technology to give ideas and contribute.

Maharashtra is a leader in data center and fintech sector

60 percent of data centers in the country are located in Maharashtra. A data center park is being set up in New Mumbai and by 2030, 50 percent of the electricity generation in the state will be based on green energy. Fadnavis also mentioned that Mumbai is the 'Fintech capital' of India.


Use of latest technology in Nashik Kumbh Mela

Kumbh Mela will be held in Nashik in 2027. The venue will have state-of-the-art technology measures for crowd management, security, and virtual experience. Efforts are being made to double the income of farmers with the help of technology in agriculture. The entire farming process is being digitized under the 'Agri-STAT' initiative. Under the 'Drone Shakti' programme, it intends to reduce agricultural spraying costs by providing drone training.
