The decision to suspend the appointments of Guardian Ministers for Raigad and Nashik districts has sparked political unrest. Shiv Sena and the NCP have ramped up their efforts to influence the decision. Amid this controversy, there are indications that the final decision on the posts will be delayed further.
In Raigad, Aditi Tatkare’s suspension has caused confusion within the Mahayuti alliance, with Shiv Sena MLA Bharat Gogawale demanding the post. In Nashik, the dispute has deepened as NCP’s Manikrao Kokate and Shiv Sena’s Dada Bhuse vie for the role.
NCP (Ajit Pawar) spokesperson Anand Paranjpe has criticized Shiv Sena leaders for their remarks, warning that disrespectful statements against NCP leaders will not be tolerated. This adds to the growing rift within the coalition government.

Internal Dissent in NCP
Adding to the political turmoil, eight out of ten NCP ministers, including Hasan Mushrif, have expressed dissatisfaction over being assigned outer districts as guardian ministers. Mushrif, in particular, has voiced his disappointment over not receiving the Kolhapur post.
Protests Over Raigad Appointment
The appointment of Aditi Tatkare as Guardian Minister of Raigad has faced strong opposition from Shiv Sena. Party workers in Raigad protested by burning tires and targeting Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s government residence in Mumbai, demanding that Employment Minister Bharat Gogawale be given the post instead.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, who announced the guardian minister appointments, now faces mounting pressure to address the dissent within the Mahayuti government and resolve the escalating conflict over the posts in Raigad and Nashik.
