In the view of Ganpati festivity, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) and Mumbai Metro authorities have decided to run extra buses during the night between September 7-16 for the convenience of commuters.
This move aims to accommodate the surge in devotees and tourists during late-night hours, particularly in Central and South Mumbai.
BEST services:
The special bus services will operate between 10.30 pm and 6 am, covering routes from Colaba to North-West Mumbai, including key areas such as Girgaon, Lalbaug, Parel, and Chembur.

4 Ltd.: Dr. M. Iqbal Chowk (Sir J. J. Hospital) to Oshiwara Depot
8 Ltd.: Jijamata Udyan to Shivaji Nagar
A-21: Dr. S.P.M. Chowk (Museum) to Deonar Depot
A-25: Backbay Depot to Kurla Depot
A-42: Kamala Nehru Park to Sandhurst Road
Route 44: Worli Village to S. Yashwante Chowk (Kalachowki)
51: Electric House to Santacruz Depot
Route 69: Dr. S.P.M. Chowk to P.T. Udyan, Sewri
51: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Kalakilla Depot
Metro Services:
Similarly, the Maha Mumbai Metro Operations Corporation Ltd (MMMOCL) will enhance services on Lines 2A and 7, which connect Dahisar to Andheri. From September 11, an additional 20 trips will be added from key Metro stations.
The timings of the last metro service from Andheri West and Gundavali terminals will be extended from 11 pm to 11:30 pm between September 11 and 17, Midday reports stated.
The details of extension in timings are as follows:
Additional services will operate at 11.15 pm and 11.30 pm from both the terminals. Some services will also be extended between Gundavali and Dahisar (East) as well as Andheri (West) and Dahisar (East) stations.
With this, an additional 20 trips will be added from key Metro stations:
Gundavali to Andheri (West): 10.20 pm, 10.39 pm, 10.50 pm and 11 pm (Four trips)
Andheri (West) to Gundavali at 10.20 pm, 10.40 pm, 10.50 pm and 11 pm (Four trips)
Gundavali to Dahisar (East) at 11.15 pm and 11.30 pm (Two trips)
Andheri (West) to Dahisar (East) at 11.15 pm and 11.30 pm (Two trips)
Dahisar (East) to Andheri (West) at 10.53 pm, 11.12 pm, 11.22 pm and 11.33 pm (Four trips)
Dahisar (East) to Gundavali at 10.57 pm, 11.17 pm, 11.27 pm and 11.36 pm (Four trips)
