The Maharashtra State and Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has now started an innovative activity on the occasion of Shravan. Under this initiative, passengers will be given the opportunity to visit various pilgrimage sites in the state by the ST buses.
The ST Corporation has launched the 'Shravanat ST Sange Tirthatan' from August 5 during the month of shravan. As a part of this initiative, one-day or overnight religious trips will be organised from each ST depot, offering a variety of discounts. Under this initiative, senior citizens, women will be able to enjoy the pilgrimage at moderate cost. Usually many religious events are organised during Shravan.
What facilities will passengers get?
As per rules, senior citizens above age of 75 will be given free travel, senior citizens below 75 and women and children below 12 years of age will be given half price tickets. Women's self-help groups, various charitable organisations, senior citizens' associations in different parts of the state can organise such trips.
What places can you visit?
Ashtavinayak along with Marleshwar, Trimbakeshwar, Bhimashankar, every Thursday Nrisimhwadi, Audumbar Darshan, Maruti Darshan on Saturdays are organised under this initiative.
