Congestion at Dadar station on Central Railway (CR) will soon ease. The fast local platform will now be accessible from both sides. The platform has been in the works for the past few months. Double-discharge platform (both boarding- alighting) 10/11 is now ready and passengers have started using it, thus decongesting the station.
Central Railway's Mumbai Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Rajnish Goyal not only promised to widen the platform but built it. Stalls which create obstacles for passengers have also been removed. Under the plan to decongest the station, the platforms on the slow line have already been widened and now the fast train platform 10/11 at Dadar has been converted into a double discharge.
