The inaugural Madgaon-Mumbai Vande Bharat on June 3 was hastily canceled due to a horrific train accident at Balasore in Odisha. Now the wait for Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat is finally over and it will be inaugurated on June 27 from Madgaon. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will show the green flag to Vande Bharat.
The much talked about and much awaited Mumbai-Goa Vande Bharat on the Konkan route was scheduled to run on June 3. However, due to a train accident at Balasore on the previous day, the inauguration program was cancelled. Now on June 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to flag off five Vande Bharat trains through the television. It will include Madgaon-Mumbai, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore, Bhopal-Jabalpur and Bangalore-Hubli-Dharwad. Since June 10, the speed of trains has been reduced due to the introduction of a monsoon schedule on the Konkan railway line. Due to this, the speed of Vande Bharat will also be limited.

Schedule under consideration
Vande Bharat in both directions is planned to run for six days except Friday. This train will stop at Madgaon, Thivi, Kankavali, Ratnagiri, Khed, Panvel, Thane, Dadar, CSMT stations. This train will leave CSMT at 5:25 am and will reach Madgaon at 1:15 pm. It will also depart from Madgaon at 2:35 PM and reach CSMT at 10:25 PM.
First long distance 'Vande Bharat' in the state
There are currently four Vande Bharats running in the state. The fifth Vande Bharat will run from Mumbai to Goa. This train will be the first express to run on the longest route in the state. It will cover the distance of 586 km from Mumbai to Goa in eight hours. Mumbai-Solapur Vande Bharat runs 400 km, Mumbai-Shirdi Vande Bharat 340, Mumbai Central-GandhiNagar Vande Bharat runs 520 km and fourth Vande Bharat Nagpur-Bilaspur runs 413 km.
