Actor-Director Mahesh Manjrekar Underwent Surgery For Urinary Bladder Cancer, says "condition is improving"

Actor, director and film producer Mahesh Manjrekar was diagnosed with urinary bladder cancer recently. 

According to reports, he underwent surgery at Mumbai's H N Reliance Foundation Hospital at Charni Road a few days ago. 

The operation went off smoothly and the actor is doing better now. Moreover, the actor has now been discharged from the hospital and is recovering. He also said that his condition is improving.

On the work front, Mahesh Manjrekar will host the third season of ‘Bigg Boss Marathi’ on television soon. Both previous seasons were also hosted by the director. In addition, he will be seen next in Antim: The Final Truth, starring Salman Khan’s brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, in the lead role.

Manjrekar made his debut on OTT with 1962: The War in the Hills with Abhay Deol, which was released on Disney+Hotstar last year. 

Manjrekar is known for his roles in Hindi films such as ‘Kaante’, ‘Zinda’, ‘Wanted’, Dabangg’ and many others. The actor made his debut in 1992 with the Marathi film, Jeeva Sakha and has starred in memorable movies such as Musafir and Dus Kahaniyaan.

In Marathi cinema, he is a celebrated director who has helmed films such as ‘Natsamrat’, ‘Me Shivaji Park’ and ‘Fakht Ladh Mana’ among others.
