Next schedule of Atrangi Re starring Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush to start from October

Filmmaker Aanand L Rai's much anticipated next Atrangi Re that features Akshay Kumar with Sara Ali Khan and South star Dhanush went on floors in March. However, the nationwide lockdown forced the team to pause the shoot of the movie. Now, the makers are all set to start the second schedule of the movie from October. It will kick off from Madurai. 

For those unaware, the first schedule of the movie was shot in Varanasi. The reason to hold on until October is keeping in mind the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country. Aanand L Rai and the entire team have taken this decision of not to start the shoot immediately keeping in mind everyone's safety. Speaking of the upcoming schedule which will last for three months, film's star cast will be shooting in three different locations including Madurai in October followed by Delhi and then Mumbai in the following months. It's said that the Delhi and Mumbai schedule with Akshay Kumar will be continuous and will last for more than a month.

This is the first time Aanand will be directing Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. It is said that Akshay will be bringing something new for the audience. 

Commenting on the same, Aanand L Rai said, “During this lockdown, I've taken out a lot of time to prep up for the upcoming schedules of Atrangi Re. I'm really excited to start the next schedule which is planned to happen in Madurai October onwards and then with Akshay for a month in Delhi and Mumbai, with all the safety precautions of course."

With the cinema halls now looking at resuming operations from August 1, it is expected that more movies that were in various stages will resume work and look at making up for the lost time. 

Directed by Aanand L Rai, the AR Rahman musical and lyrics by Irshad Kamil is produced by Colour Yellow Productions and marks the first film in which the trio of Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan and Dhanush will be seen sharing the screen space. Presented by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films, Atrangi Re is written by Himanshu Sharma.
