Of the nearly 60 COVID-19 positive patients on the Mumbai-Goa Cordelia cruise, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has stated to have shifted 41 passengers, with the remaining positive passengers on-board, reports stated. The testing of the remaining passengers continued till 5.30 am on Wednesday, January 5.

According to accounts, the BMC remarked that only when the reports are in, the disembarking of negative patients will commence. Additionally, those who test negative will be stamped for a week of home isolation. RT-PCR test reports, of the remaining, are anticipated later today.

The 41 positive patients are reported to have been sent to BMC's Richardson and Crudas jumbo centres in Byculla. On the other hand, one was sent to St George Hospital and the rest to different hotels that are acting as paid quarantine for asymptomatic patients.

Based on accounts, the cruise ship had left from Mumbai for Goa last weekend. During the journey, one of the ship's crew members developed flu-like symptoms.

In a press statement released by Jurgen Bailon, CEO and president, Waterways Leisure Tourism it was mentioned that all positive guests are asymptomatic, stated narratives. He believes that those who tested positive this morning could have been infected with the virus before boarding.
