New road to help JVLR traffic

What's the story?

To tackle traffic problems around Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road (JVLR) the area around, BMC is planning to construct a 1.1-km road.

Travel time from Andheri to Western Express Highway is expected to be reduced from an hour to just 10 minutes. New Jogeshwari Flyover to Infiniti Mall in Andheri (W).

How much will it cost?

The new road will cost INR 2 Cr and around 500 structures are expected to be demolished along Link Road and SV Road.

Road dynamics

According to reports in Mumbai Mirror, the road will be 120-ft wide and will serve as an artery of JVLR, which is facing severe traffic bottlenecks after the inauguration of the New Jogeshwari Flyover, officially Balasaheb Thackeray Flyover, that connects JVLR to Jogeshwari West.
