Fourteen of the nineteen cases being treated at KEM Hospital are outpatient treatments, while five of them are hospitalised. Eleven patients are receiving outpatient treatment at Sion Hospital, while Nair Hospital has accepted one patient and released seven.

Of the eight Govindas injured, three were hospitalized at Rajawadi Hospital and five were released. On August 27, large crowds gathered to watch the Dahi Handi at several spots in Thane and Mumbai. Large crowds gather at the customary locations, such as Mumbai's Jambori Maidan in Worli, Dadar, Thane's Khopat, and Tempi Naka.

More than 11,000 policemen were deployed for security and law and order.

It is pertinent to note that last year, the celebrations saw 195 Govindas injured in various incidents.

Attending a Dahi Handi ceremony at Tembhi Naka in nearby Thane city, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde remarked that his mentor, Anand Dighe, had rejuvenated the festival, bolstering customs and community spirit. He pointed out that by permitting open and secure festivities, his administration had removed limitations put in place during the MVA's tenure. Shinde gave his word that the administration was taking all necessary precautions to guarantee the security and prosperity of Dahi Handi celebrations.

For the unversed, human pyramids are created to smash curd "handis" (containers) in observance of Janmashtami, the festival of Lord Krishna's birth. This represents Lord Krishna's fun, innocence, and love for butter and curd.
