The farmers' strike in the state entered the fourth day today.
Farmers' organisations have called for a Maharashtra bandh on Monday, a move that is likely to affect vegetable and milk supplies to the city as well. The Shiv Sena too has extended its support to this bandh.
Meanwhile, prices of vegetables and fruits continue to scale newer heights with no end in sight to the farmer's strike. Among their main demands are loan waivers and electricity subsidies.
