New rules have been implemented in hospitals in Mumbai after the Kolkata trainee doctor woman rape case. Food delivery boys or food delivery boys have been advised not to enter hospitals and hostels.

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Administration held a meeting of all the senior officers of the security department working in the hospital. At this time, this decision was taken from the perspective of security. Anyone, including doctors, ordering food from outside the hospital and college premises will now have to go to the main entrance to collect it. This decision has been taken for security reasons.

A meeting was held on the issue of security under the chairmanship of Dr. Neelam Andrade, Principal Medical College of the BMC. Issues such as locating vulnerable areas in the hospital, determining the need for security guards at potential locations were discussed. Often delivery boys enter the hospital and sometimes go straight to the operation theatre or to the rooms where doctors work or rest. Considering the security, an order has been given in the meeting to immediately ban the food delivery boy.
