The number of vehicles has increased in the last month after the opening of the coastal road at full capacity and on an average around 24 thousand vehicles are plying on this route every day. Before Bandra Worli Sea Link and Coastal Road were connected, an average of 20,000 vehicles were plying on this route every day. Therefore, after the completion of the project, there has been an increase of four thousand vehicles on an average.

Dharamveer, Swaraj Rakshak Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj Mumbai Coastal Road Project started in full capacity from January 27. The Coastal Road is 10.58 km long from Princess Street flyover to the Worli end of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link. The bridge connecting the Coastal Road and the Bandra-Worli Sea Link was inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Republic Day, January 26.

After that, two-way traffic from south Mumbai directly to Bandra started from this bridge from January 27. Along with this, three inter-routes have also been started which will facilitate the commuters of Worli, Prabhadevi, Lower Parel, Lotus Junction and other areas to come and go through the coastal road project. So far, only a small part of this route has been opened for traffic in phases. But from January 27, this route started in full capacity. However, the number of vehicles has increased by an average of 4000 vehicles per day. An average of 24,375 vehicles per day plied the southbound route during the month. On average, 23,832 vehicles ply on the route towards North Mumbai per day.
