Why should Akshay Shinde's family be punished for the act of the deceased accused in the case of sexual abuse of girls in Badlapur? This question was raised by the High Court on Thursday. Also, the court directed the government to arrange accommodation and employment for the family of Shinde, who was killed in a police encounter. Why should the family suffer the punishment of the child's actions? What is their fault? Such questions were also asked by the bench of Justice Revathi Mohite-Dere and Justice Prithviraj Chavan while making the above instructions.

During the hearing held on Tuesday, their lawyers had claimed that the Shinde family was not in touch with them. Taking cognizance of this, the court ordered the Shinde family to appear in the court directly or through the telecommunication system. Accordingly, Akshay Shinde's parents appeared in court on Thursday. At that time, since the child was arrested for sexual assault, we are targeted wherever we go. They are not even allowed to stay in residential houses in Badlapur. So, they are currently staying at Kalyan railway station. After this incident, no one is ready to give us employment, the parents of Akshay Shinde expressed their grief in the court.

The court took notice of it. Also, the petitioners are the parents of the accused and not the accused. The court raised the question that why should the parents suffer the punishment and why should they face the wrath of the general public?. Also, what can be done for their rehabilitation? Can NGOs help them find jobs or shelter? The court instructed public prosecutor Hiten Venegaonkar to look into this.
