With the help of the information provided by the Delhi Police, the Mumbai Police arrested the most wanted criminal. The A 39-year-old accused has been arrested from the red-light area of the capital.
The name of the accused is Bipul Biren Shikari and he is accused of sexual molestation and murder of a 12-year-old boy.
Bipul had left Mumbai and taken refuge in Delhi. The informant informed the Mumbai Police about his whereabouts. On the instructions of the Mumbai Police, he lured him with alcohol. Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police informed the Delhi Police. And Delhi Police arrested Sikri in Delhi.
On March 5, a headless body of a boy was found in the creek of Wadala. Due to this incident, there was a wave of anger among the local citizens. Sikri was with the boy the day he went missing. On learning this, the enraged locals beat up the accused and handed him over to the police.
Bipul is originally from Kolkata. He was a pimp who married a sex worker.
He had murdered his wife for which he was sentenced to life imprisonment. During the pandemic, he was granted parole due to prison overcrowding. He fled to Mumbai after his parole was over. Authorities are now focusing on locating the areas where Shikari allegedly disposed of the bodies.
