The Reserve Bank of India received a threatening e-mail on Thursday night, which purported to be from Russia. Mata Ramabai Ambedkar Marg (MRA) police have registered a case against an unknown person in this regard.


Earlier there was a threatening phone call on RBI's customer service number. The caller claimed to be the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba.


On Thursday, the MRA police registered a case in this matter on the complaint of Reserve Bank security guard Gopal Chauhan. The e-mail, which came on Thursday afternoon, used Russian language.

It has threatened to blow up RBI Bank with explosives. After the incident, the police have alerted all the agencies and the crime branch is searching for the accused through e-mail. Earlier, the Reserve Bank had received such a threatening phone call.


The caller suddenly hangs up saying that he is the CEO of Lashkar-e-Taiba. “Close the bank. The accused also threatened that the motor vehicle was going to hit him. Taking this threat seriously, the security guard of Reserve Bank lodged a complaint at Mata Ramabai Marg police station. At that time also a case was registered in this matter.
