Recruitment of 6,100 education workers in Maharashtra to begin soon

State Education Minister, Varsha Gaikwad, on Thursday, July 8, 2021, took to Twitter to thank Maharashtra CM, Deputy CM and Revenue Minister for considering the proposal and lifting the currently imposed ban on recruitment.

After much delay, the state government of Maharashtra, on Thursday, July 8, 2021, permitted the recruitment of as many as 6,100 educational staff in the state. As per reports, the recruitment process for the same will begin soon. The decision was taken in a recently held meeting, in the presence of Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and Revenue Minister Balasaheb Thorat, who unanimously agreed to the proposal thereby lifting the current ban on recruitment, which has now paved the way for the eligible workers to apply for the positions. 

Information regarding the same was shared by state School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad, who took to Twitter and said, "The way has been cleared for the recruitment of about 6,100 education workers in the state." She thanked the CM, Deputy CM and Revenue Minister for considering the proposal to exempt the recruitment process from the ban.

Authorities have decided to use a proper method to fill the  6,100 vacancies keeping the politics aside. It is being said that the recruitment will be held through the MPSC Commission, however, official announcements are yet to be made, and once announced, the process will also being to gain momentum. 

As per the revised decision, approximately 6100 vacancies will be filled with teachers across several primary, upper primary, secondary, higher secondary schools, government and aided teacher diploma schools which could be operated by local self-governing bodies or private management, and could be subsidized, partially subsidized and unsubsidized.

The issue related to the recruitment of education staff has been pending for several weeks and Minister Gaikwad has been working and following up on the same with an aim to implement the recruitment process at the earliest. However, the approval which has been given by the leaders, has given a new direction to the process. CM Uddhav Thackeray has also asked Minister Gaikwad to complete the recruitment process in proper manner, in a speculated time.
