The students of polytechnic colleges across the state will now get their scholarship amounts directly into their bank account. The Higher and Technical Education department has been implementing two scholarship schemes for students in polytechnic colleges and under these schemes, students are required to link their Aadhar Card details to their accounts.
The state cabinet took this decision on Tuesday and provided a relief to students as they will be getting their scholarship amount in their bank account instead of getting it from their colleges.
The Higher and Technical Education department has been implementing the Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme in all granted and non-granted colleges and polytechnic institutes. Students from weaker sections of the society who have taken admissions in selected courses will be provided 50% fee reimbursement and it will be directly deposited in their bank accounts.
