In Mumbai, Ganesh Utsav is celebrated with enthusiasm and positivity. Right from houses to public mandals, people are excited and overjoyed to welcome Bappa.
Because of the country’s progressive attitude, people are trying to celebrate this auspicious festival in an eco-friendly way and are being very careful while celebrating this festival. Mandals are also trying to give out a positive message from the theme they’re setting up this year.
Andheri resident, Hansraj Shah, has been welcoming Ganpati Bappa for the last 10 years. Hansraj always has innovative themes. Right from films to royal palaces, he has tried many such themes.
This year, keeping up with the trends, he has chosen the ‘Bahubali’ theme to welcome Bappa. The pandal will have the Bahubali palace feel to it. He also added statues of freedom fighters in the setup.
Talking to Mumbai Live, Hansraj Shah said that it took him 6 months to set up the pandal. Three months to plan the entire concept and another three months to actually execute the plan. Around 18 people were contributing to this effort.
The city expects to see many such innovative themes to welcome Lord Ganesha this year.
