Tenders for e-auction of a total of seven commercial and residential plots in the Bandra-Kurla complex of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) were opened a few days ago. Accordingly, only three out of seven plots have received response, the MMRDA is likely to get at least INR 2974 crore from the sale of these plots. Now at least another INR 656 crore will be added to the coffers of MMRDA.

The MMRDA's e-auction tenders for three more commercial plots in BKC were opened on Friday and received a good response. According to this tender, Jupiter or Fortis hospital, as well as D.Y. Patil or Bharti University college are likely to come up soon in BKC. Mumbai-based renowned Jupiter Life Line Hospitals Limited and Fortis Hospitals Limited have submitted tenders for the 10,026.44 square meter plot of land for the hospital. On the other hand, DY Patil and Bharti Vidyapeeth have shown their interest for the plot by submitting a tender for a plot of 5117.85 square meters area for educational use. MMRDA is likely to receive INR 2,974 crore for funding infrastructure projects. In 2024, MMRDA will invite consolidated tenders for the e-auction of seven plots. A few days later tenders were released for three more plots for commercial use. MMRDA was expecting a revenue of at least INR 5946 crore from the sale of seven plots. But at present MMRDA is likely to get at least INR 2974 crores.

Tenders for seven plots were recently opened and only three of the seven plots received response. Three residential plots along with one commercial plot did not receive any response.
