After declaring his candidature, Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray will file his nomination on October 3 for the assembly elections in Maharashtra which are scheduled on October 21.

Aditya Thackeray will contest 2019 Maharashtra assembly elections from Worli assembly constituency and will be the first one in his family to participate in the election process.

Worli is considered a stronghold for Shiv Sena and will help Thackeray leave a mark in the active politics. Shiv Sena’s Dattaji Nalwade was elected as an MLAs four times from Worli seat and remained till 2004 from 1990.

Aditya Thackeray put an end to the speculations by confirming that he will contest the assembly polls. Meanwhile, the political speculations also say that Shiv Sena may push the Yuva Sena chief for the deputy chief ministerial position if Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiv Sena alliance come to power. The BJP has also agreed to have a Deputy CM.
